I’m so glad you’re here!

Marta Robinson, LMHC/LCMHC

I imagine you are looking for a therapist in order to make a change in your life.

  • Are you feeling anxious about different areas of your life?

  • Are you feeling intermittently sad and don’t know why?

  • Do you need support in an upcoming transition?

  • Are you feeling like you and your partner need help in communicating effectively?

I am here to help you

Through an individualized approach, I encourage you to explore how early life experiences are impacting you today, while simultaneously developing coping and effective communication skills to create change. I value creating a safe and trusting environment that allows for self-love, discovery and growth, while also addressing your needs and goals of treatment.

My Background

With over a decade in working in the mental health field, I know that the relationship you have with your therapist is essential in determining your success in therapy. Therapy is an investment into yourself and your well being, our connection is incredibly important in that process.

I specialize in working with young adult women who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem and communication challenges. I also work with young couples where one, or both, partner(s) is struggling with anxiety and it is impacting communication within the partner dynamic.

My clinical experience includes individual psychotherapy in a variety of settings— inpatient, outpatient and partial hospitalization levels of care. Additionally, I have extensive training in emergency mental health assessments.

In February 2023, I began @thesagecouch on Instagram with a mission to normalize going to therapy and discussing the importance of mental health. In November 2023, I opened Sage Couch Counseling in Rye, NH.

Credentials

I received my Bachelor’s of Science from Santa Clara University and my Master’s of Arts in Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University.

I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and couples counseling. I utilize an integrative approach, meaning I use a variety of techniques and skills throughout session, as everyone is different and has their own needs in therapy.

I have licenses in Massachusetts (11311) and New Hampshire (2334).

I continuously engage in professional development to stay abreast of the latest research and therapeutic techniques. I adhere to the highest ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and respect for your privacy throughout our work together.
